Benji Merrison
Emmy, IFMCA and RTS Award nominated composer Benji Merrison currently resides in London, his work spans Film, Television, Live Events and concert commissions.
 
Recent commissions have included the feature film 'SAS: Red Notice' (Sky Movies - starring Sam Heughan, Ruby Rose, Andy Serkis, Noel Clarke, Tom Wilkinson) and the upcoming BBC One flagship series' 'Green Planet' & 'Dynasties 2' with Sir David Attenborough.
 
Other credits include 'Dynasties' (BBC One / BBC Earth - Emmy award nominated score), the feature film 'General Magic' (prem. Tribeca), the ten part Sky Atlantic / Netflix series 'Britannia', the title suite for 'Victoria' (ITV) and the Doctor Who spin-off 'Class'.
 
He recently accepted a choral commission for the National Youth Choir of Great Britain, and the premiere was performed at Snape Maltings.  His soundtracks have been released on Silva Screen records.
 
Benji holds a BA (Hons) in Music, and an MSc in Music Technology from York University. He is a multi-instrumentalist having began playing Piano from a young age. Additionally he studied jazz and piano at Goldsmiths University, London.
 
After is studies he founded the pioneering UK digital arts festival 'Sightsonic', before moving to London and briefly working as an art director for Television. In 2007 he set up his first composition studio in London. For three years he was based at Strongroom Studios (Air).
