C.A.M.P. x London Soundtrack Festival
In 2025, C.A.M.P. was proud to partner with the London Soundtrack Festival on their hugely successful inaugural edition.
This partnership culminated in a world premiere for C.A.M.P. mentee Lauren Finch, at the Festival's Gala Concert in March. Her original composition was premiered by the London Philharmonic Orchestra to great acclaim, on a programme honouring composer Howard Shore and also featuring music from acclaimed composers such as Hildur Guðnadóttir, Natalie Holt, and Harry Gregson-Williams.
A huge congratulations to Lauren on this fantastic success! Showcasing her talent on this international stage demonstrates the core aim of C.A.M.P.: to build direct pathways for new talent to work at the highest level of the industry through tangible, high-profile opportunities.

About C.A.M.P.
C.A.M.P. is a mentoring programme launched in July 2022 from the UK office of composer talent agency First Artist Management (FAM), creating opportunities for young people to break into the music for screen business, with a focus on underrepresented groups. The inaugural programme was created with support from Youth Music's Incubator Fund, which aims to help increase diversity by creating sustainable and meaningful career opportunities for young music creators.
Who is C.A.M.P for?
C.A.M.P. is open to anyone making music (regardless of any traditional musical background, university degree, connections or support to work for free) who can demonstrate passion, grit and talent for scoring for film and TV. Applicants must be based in the United Kingdom.
What is C.A.M.P.?
The Composer Assistant & Mentoring Programme is a two-stage process. Upon entry into the programme, mentees will gain knowledge of the industry, build a portfolio and grow their network - providing important steps to a career in composing for media. Ten successful applicants, selected based on their passion for music and film, and the originality and talent of their music, will be selected for Stage 1 of the programme.
Stage 1 - Mentoring
Mentees will attend 5 x weekly remote mentoring and training sessions, each around a different aspect of the Music for Screen industry. Topics covered will include; "What a career in composing for Film and TV looks like", "The commissioning process & how to pitch", "How to market yourself as a composer", "Creating and recording a score" and then a "1 on 1 mentoring session a with professional composer". At the end of the 5 week course, mentees will pitch on a short film. A panel of industry experts will then select one winning pitch for Stage 2 of the programme.
Stage 2 - Assistant Placement
The successful mentee will then embark on a three-month full time fully paid (living wage) Composer Assistant Placement working alongside a top-tier FAM composer, learning the inner workings of scoring on large-scale productions, develop technical skills, while building contacts and gaining important credits. The exact placement will be confirmed at the time, based on location and what projects require assistants. The placement can be done remotely if required. Additionally, the selected candidate will have a piece of their music premiered by the London Philharmonic Orchestra, at the London Soundtrack Festival's Gala Concert, at the Royal Festival Hall, in March 2025.
C.A.M.P. wouldn't be possible without the support of the many partners who have helped promote the campaign to young music creators.
