SEAN MULLIGAN |
Sean Mulligan (Los Angeles) - A music veteran of over twenty-five years—10 in Toronto, 15 in Los Angeles—with experience in artist development, music publishing, as editor for Songwriters Magazine, co-founder of the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, as a national arts organization leader, in music licensing, and now predominantly music supervision. Sean co-founded the cross-Canada touring Songposium and Blue Bird North music showcase events from eastern to western Canada before moving to sunny Los Angeles. As a music publisher, Sean has licensed hundreds of songs for film, television, advertising and promos. As a music supervisor he’s done the same but for such notable producers and directors as Darren Aronofsky, Will Farrell & Adam McKay (Gary Sanchez Prods), Aaron Gilbert (BRON Studios), Reed Morano, Aaron Sorkin, Scott Beck & Bryan Woods (A Quiet Place) and Sam Taylor-Johnson. In 2015, he was nominated for a Guild of Music Supervisors Award for his work on the film Welcome To Me starring Kristen Wiig; but the real reward was from Wiig writing him after he pulled strings to get her all the music she wanted: “You’re a F#@%ING ROCKSTAR.” He is currently working on productions for Sean ‘Puff Daddy’ Combs, and the feature film Lady of the Manor from Justin Long.
