CAROLINE HO |
Caroline Ho is a film composer, pianist, and cellist based in Los Angeles, CA. As a native of LA, she grew up studying classical piano and cello, competing internationally by high school and studying with professors from the top U.S. conservatories. Her first composition for string orchestra was premiered internationally at the Incontri in Terra di Siena Festival in Siena, Italy, at the age of 13. Since then, she has expanded her musical palette as a film composer by becoming skilled at improvisation, producing, sound design, and orchestration, intertwining her immense experience as a performer with scoring by incorporating and experimenting with live cello, strings, and piano on many of her film scores.
Caroline graduated from Yale University with honors in May 2022. She has since been selected to be part of the Alliance for Women Film Composers Mentor Program. Through this program, she is being mentored by renowned composer Marco Beltrami and getting to participate in the creative process on some of his upcoming projects. Additionally, Caroline has been writing additional music for Stephanie Economou and orchestrating/arranging for Alex Heffes. Most recently, Caroline partnered with music label Raedio and Google to create a 15-track album for upcoming films and TV. This gave her the opportunity to lead recording sessions and compose, orchestrate, and produce all the music herself in the span of a few weeks. |
