As a kid, Lydecker loved drawing, the outdoors, and making costumes and stories with his sister. He tried writing a screenplay in elementary school and learned the fundamentals of music at his family’s congregational church. As his explorations of music widened, he dove into the world of orchestral sounds, while at the same time, spent his weekends going to punk shows and playing drums.
Outside of film music, Lydecker has written concert music for the ensemble FiveByFive, makes beats and instrumentals of all styles, and plays in a band with friends. He regularly spends time doing habitat restoration and spent many years cooking and serving free food with Food Not Bombs in downtown LA at Pershing Square, Skid Row, and Exposition Park.
Lydecker enjoys creative variety, meaningful collaborations, and hopes he can make the world a better place.
