Ramin Kousha is an Iranian/American neo-classical and electronic multi-instrumentalist composer, who has established an international reputation, creating music for movies/televisions/video games and commercials.
Ramin’s work embodies both the modern classical approach and experimental electronics filled with richly textured sound. His work with Academy nominated director Majid Majidi's Sun Children got selected to the Oscar shortlist 2021 for International Feature Film and won the Marcello Mastroianni Award as well as Lanterna Magica Award at 2020 Venice film festival. He has also recently scored the feature film Zalava, which won the Grand Prize Venice International and premiered at TIFF 2021. Recent film scores include IFC’s thriller/drama Radioflash, PlayStation video game Detroit: Become Human and Showtime’s action/crime feature Abducted. In addition, his music got placements on various shows for different networks such as Discovery Channel’s Killing Fields, History Channel’s Great Wild North, Animal Planet’s Dodo Heroes, MTV’s The Challenge: Rivals. Ramin has also scored commercials for major brands such as Mazda, Lexus, Dell and Wonder Bread. |
