Matthew scored the film Palm Springs directed by Max Barbakow, which was a Sundance Film Festival 2020 record-breaking. In addition, he scored Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, MacGruber, Better Start Running, the animated movie Igor, along with a cover of The Association's song “Never My Love” featuring Flea for Drew Barrymore’s Whip It. His previous television composition credits include: American Dad, Saturday Night Live, Death Valley, The Simpsons, NBC’s pilot Not Safe for Work, CBS’s pilot Friends with Benefits, Brief but Spectacular and Punk’d. In addition to Matthew’s film and television credits you might catch some of his original compositions for the following national campaigns: Apple, Lincoln, Nissan, Activision, KIA, Edible Schoolyard, Starburst, and Bud Light, amongst hundreds more.
Matthew along with Asa Taccone are the critically acclaimed duo Electric Guest and their first album was produced by DangerMouse. Electric Guest’s songs have been featured in several films including Annie (the remake), Love Rosie, and Disconnect. Matthew has also written for and performed alongside Carly Rae Jepsen, Cyn, Cold War Kids, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Rodrigo Amarante, Devendra Banhart, The Pierces, Cursive, Joyo Velarde, Flea, Adam Green and Har Mar Superstar. Matthew recently scored the series MacGruber for Peacock directed by Jorma Taccone and the feature film Into the Deep directed by Kate Cox. |
