An NFTS composition graduate, Madison was classically trained in flute and piano at junior Guildhall and the Royal Academy of Music before her composition work developed into the worlds of neo-classical, minimalism, techno and ambient music at Edinburgh University. She scored two BBC Arena documentaries (of which only 10 are made a year) about the artists Sean Scully and Paula Rego, which have won RTS and Grierson Awards for Best Arts Documentary, and during her time at the NFTS scored multiple award-winning shorts including the BIFA longlisted Princess and BAFTA shortlisted The Flying Gold of Arabuko which screened at international film festivals. Her graduation film A Film About A Pudding was recently longlisted for a BAFTA Best British Animation Award. Madison’s recent work includes Endeavour Content’s upcoming documentary feature Unlikely Heroes directed and produced by filmmaker Addison O’Dea, as well as composing additional music on Season 5 of The Crown alongside composer Martin Phipps. Madison is a prominent DJ regularly releasing mixes and exploring the boundaries between modern classical, minimal techno and dance music. She collaborated with renowned drum and bass producer dBridge on their debut EP Made in Silence which was released on Exit Records earlier this year, and is currently working on her next solo release. |
