KYLE NEWMASTER
A multi-talented composer with a passion for crafting evocative musical landscapes, Kyle Newmaster has established himself as a dynamic force in the world of media composition. His passion for storytelling through music, coupled with his technical expertise, makes him a sought-after composer in the ever-evolving landscape of the arts.
 
Born into a musical family, Kyle's journey into the realm of music began at an early age. His formal education in music performance, composition and conducting laid the foundation for his future endeavors. Newmaster's ability to blend classical training and improvisation with a contemporary sensibility has set him apart in the world of composition.
 
Kyle's expertise extends to the screen, where he has made a mark as a skilled film/TV composer. His recent work includes a CBS primetime action/adventure show, “Blood & Treasure” Seasons 1-2 (2019-2022); and the horror comedy score for Hulu/Blumhouse’s “Pooka Lives” (2020). Newmaster’s ability to translate emotions into music enhances the cinematic experience, creating memorable soundtracks that resonate with audiences. From gripping suspense to soaring melodies, his film scores capture the essence of every scene.
 
In the realm of interactive entertainment, Kyle’s compositions seamlessly integrate with gameplay, enhancing the immersive experience for players. His credits include composing the LucasArts/Microsoft title "Kinect Star Wars"(2012). The epic game score was recorded at the famed Abbey Road Studios in London, with the London Symphony Orchestra & Choir. Newmaster has also provided additional music for titles including "Star Wars: Battlefront 1 & 2" (2014-2017) and "The Walking Dead: Survival instinct" (2013).
 
Stepping into the jazz realm, Kyle's talent shines as an accomplished arranger and commissioned composer showcasing his ability to blend tradition with modernity. Recently he has been commissioned by Riot Games and Warner Chappell Music to craft jazz infused scores for their catalogues. His works have also been performed by large ensembles and orchestras including the Columbus Jazz Orchestra, the Cape Symphony, The Boston Landmarks Orchestra and The Rochester Philharmonic among others. These works have featured a variety of the ensemble's guest artists including Branford Marsalis, Roy Hargrove, Mavis Staples, Byron Stripling, Ann Hampton Calloway and many more.

When he is not writing music, Newmaster is an active professional trumpet player and continues to perform and record in a variety of groups. Kyle has toured with "The Brian Setzer Orchestra", performed in the "Seth Macfarlane Big Band", and has recorded for numerous TV shows and films including Family Guy, Cleveland, America's Got Talent, The Middle and American Dad.
