MILENA FESSMAN |
Milena Fessman is a Music Supervisor based in Berlin. In 1989, she founded CINESONG and has worked as a Music Supervisor on more than 500 films and series, most recently on films such as All Quiet on The Western Front, Perfect Days and Maria.
She is also a moderator of several national events and panels, such as Reeperbahn-Festival 2014–23 and c/o pop Cologne 2014–2024. Milena Fessmann teaches music supervising and copyright clearance at film schools such as DFFB Berlin, HFF, KHM and BIMM and is an advisory board member of the World Soundtrack Academy, and a member of the European Film Academy. She founded the film production company Sugar Town Film Production GmbH & Co. KG in 2011. The first project produced was The Potential of Noise - Conny Plank by Stephan Plank and Reto Caduff. She is also an executive-producer of When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, directed by award-winning director Caroline Link. Her latest documentary project is called Don’t talk, do! She-punks from 1977 until now, covering the subject of female Punk and New Wave in German-speaking territories from 1979–89, releasing in May 2025. |
