Lucas Vidal is considered one of the most relevant composers in international cinema. He has been awarded numerous awards, including two Goyas and an Emmy.
He was born and raised in Madrid in a family linked to music since his grandfather Manuel Vidal founded Hispavox, one of the most important record companies in Spain. His talent helped him get a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee School of Music in Boston, where he graduated Cum Laude. He continued his studies at the Juilliard School of Music in New York and later moved to Los Angeles, from where he began composing his first soundtracks for feature films, at just 21 years old. He has composed enormously successful soundtracks for films such as Fast & Furious 6, The Raven (starring John Cusack), The Cold Light of Day (starring Henry Cavill, Sigourney Weaver, and Bruce Willis), Palm Trees in the Snow, and most recently the latest Lee Daniels movie The Deliverance. Lucas has also composed for television series such as Elite (Netflix), The Inmortal, Past Lies (Disney+), and Women in Blue (Apple TV+), among others. He has also developed anthems such as that of Ibero-America, as well as the sound identity of La Liga and Telefónica. As a solo artist, he released his first album Karma in (2020) and is currently working on his second album. |
