LORENA PEREZ BATISTA
Lorena Perez Batista is a music editor and composer based in Los Angeles, whose path in music began behind a drum kit in her native Venezuela, and led her to the world of film and television.

Most recently, Lorena worked as the music editor for The Studio, the Apple TV+ series from Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, featuring a score by Grammy-winning drummer and composer Antonio Sanchez. The show offered a unique chance for Lorena to tap into her drumming background while blending it with her work as a music editor.

Her music background has also guided her work in animation, most notably on the reboot of Dora the Explorer and the film Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado, where she contributed additional music and original Latin percussion, as well as on animated series like Agent Elvis, Victor and Valentino, and Big City Greens, where her contributions focused on percussion.

An important period in Lorena’s career began when she joined the music team of renowned composer Tyler Bates, taking on music editing and score coordination across a wide variety of projects, from films and TV to video games and live experiences, including X, Fight World, Far Cry: New Dawn, and R.U.N by Cirque du Soleil. She also contributed additional music to titles such as Day Shift, Deadpool 2, John Wick 3, The Punisher, Stumptown, and The Purge. A highlight of her work with Tyler’s team was collaborating with Walt Disney Imagineers on EPCOT's Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Outside the studio, Lorena shares her passion for music with the next generation, teaching percussion at the Academy of Music for the Blind and developing Tutu and Pash, an original audiovisual project that introduces toddlers to folk rhythms through music and storytelling. In her free time, her determined dog keeps her active outdoors, proudly showing off his fetching skills at the park!
