JAMES CARTWRIGHT
James Cartwright is a Los Angeles-based music supervisor and music industry professional of more than 15 years. After working on Grammy Award-winning albums at indie rock stalwart Merge Records, James moved to the TV and film space to work as a music supervisor under Kier Lehman. An avid record collector, James can often be found digging through record crates or listening to a number of music history podcasts.

Learning the ropes music coordinating on projects like HBO’s Insecure, the Spider-Verse franchise, The Lego Movie 2, and The Mitchells vs The Machines, James has now supervised a wide breadth of projects like the upcoming Netflix Mike Tyson docuseries TYSON, FXX’s It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Paramount’s Good Burger 2 and Apple TV’s Mythic Quest.
 
​James has three Guild of Music Supervisors nominations for his work in the docuseries and indie film categories. He lives with his wife and two chihuahuas in Northeast LA.
