ANDREW KOTATKO
Andrew Koťátko is one of Australia’s most respected and influential music supervisors, described by ABC Radio as “Australia’s pre-eminent music supervisor.” With 30 years of experience across film and television, he is renowned for his encyclopaedic musical knowledge and his instinctive ability to translate a filmmaker’s cinematic sensibility into emotionally precise, narratively driven musical choices.

Andrew has worked in close creative collaboration with internationally acclaimed filmmakers including Academy Award winner Jane Campion (The Power of the Dog), Danny and Michael Philippou (Talk to Me, Death Match), Jennifer Kent (The Babadook), Anne Fontaine (Adore), Goran Stole ski (You Won’t Be Alone), and Russell Crowe (The Water Diviner).

2025 marked another prolific year, with recent credits including A24’s Bring Her Back, the IFC horror thriller Dangerous Animals, the AMC drama series The Last Anniversary (produced by Nicole Kidman, Made Up Stories, and Fifth Season), the Amazon crime drama Kill Jackie, and the Peacock limited series The Good Daughter.

His upcoming projects include A24’s Death Match (directed by the Philippou brothers), Leviticus (directed by Adrian Chiarella, premiering at Sundance 2026), and Fangs (directed by Lucy McKendrick).

Andrew’s composer collaborations span some of the most distinctive voices in contemporary cinema, including Jonny Greenwood (The Power of the Dog), Brian Eno (Ithaka), Angelo Badalamenti (Holy Smoke!), Ludovico Einaudi (The Water Diviner), Jed Kurzel (The Babadook), Piers Burbrook de Vere (Wolf Like Me), Mark Bradshaw (You Won’t Be Alone), Wojciech Kilar (The Portrait of a Lady), Ben Frost (In Her Skin), and Hania Rani (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart).
