AMANDA YAMATE
Amanda Yamate is a Los Angeles born and raised composer who recently finished scoring Trap House, an action thriller feature film starring Dave Bautista set for a wide theatrical release November 2025. They also recently scored Sammi Cohen's You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah! which is currently streaming on Netflix. This is the second time Este Haim and Yamate have co- scored a project, the first being last year's critically acclaimed feature, Do Revenge (Netflix), by director Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Earlier this summer Amanda scored the feature documentary Every Body (Focus Features) which premiered at Tribeca Film Fest and had a nationwide theatrical run and a three part docu series called Hope In The Water that premiered on PBS in 2024.

Amanda scored the unscripted feature Dead Hot (Tube) starring Vanessa Hudgens, the short Skin, which won Outfest's Special Jury Mention, and was nominated for "Best Original Score" in the Global Shorts competition.

Amanda has created original music for brands such as PACSUN, Burt's Bees, Facebook, Square, Applebees, and Conair. Amanda wrote and produced on artist Davia Spain's debut album Dawning under their solo project moniker Masao, which was played on a loop for the virtual presentation of Yayoi Kusama's Infinity Mirrors at The Broad Museum.

​Besides shattering the gender binary, Amanda strives to expand the definitions and possibilities of"film music", while using their craft to uplift underrepresented voices.
